Subject: Parent U/School Budget/School Law Presentations
Good afternoon,
Hope that you are well. Now that our high school sports teams can actually get to the courts, fields and track each is off to an outstanding start. As we begin the spring, each week is filled with many events and it is a challenge to make it to all the things we would like to attend.
Next week we have three important district level events:
Tuesday, April 24th 7pm MLHS Media Center Parent University Session 4
Wednesday, April 25th 9am Borough Hall School Budget Presentation*
Wednesday, April 25th 7:30 pm MLHS Media Center Legal Primer on School Issues
*This presentation will also be offered on Monday, April 30th at 7:30 pm in the MLHS Media Center as part of the regularly scheduled Board of Education Meeting.

Parent University Session 4: The final session of an interactive parenting workshop led by Ms. Sharon McCarthy. The series has been getting wonderful reviews from all who attended thus far. You need not have attended the previous sessions to join us on Tuesday. The series will also be available online shortly.
School Budget Presentation: Each year the Business Administrator and the Chair of the Board Finance Committee present a detailed overview of our budget for the upcoming school year. This presentation will also provide residents with information on the revenue and programmatic implications of the Academy for Biotechnology.
Legal Primer on School Issues: School Board Attorney, Mark Toscano, will present parents with insights on the laws governing HIB, Student Confidentiality, Student Discipline and Personnel matters. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in small group discussions that address typical scenarios related to these topics.
