Dear Parents and Community Members,

Thank you to everyone who came to our board meeting this past Monday. We appreciate that you came to ask your questions and share your thoughts.

We heard suggestions regarding administering a survey to evaluate school climate and conducting third party exit interviews to better inform faculty recruitment and retention strategies. We are committed to collaborating with the Mountain Lakes Education Association to effectively design both of these items.

There was one question that we were unable to answer pertaining to a recall of the board. Here is a link to a comprehensive explanation of the procedure. Just to note, since this document was created, the Board Secretary is no longer the legal recipient of nominating petitions. The person who now is the legal recipient of petitions is the Morris County Clerk of Elections. That is who should be contacted with questions or to file a petition.

The Board appreciates your participation and feedback. At our next Board meeting on Monday, June 4th we will have personnel appointments, and a preview of that agenda and presentations scheduled for the evening will be forthcoming. We will continue to focus on the quality of our schools and the education being delivered. We are all in this together, so we thank you for collaborating with us.
