Subject: Key Communicators Mtg: Referendum Bid

Good afternoon,

Thank you to all of the individuals who have offered to share their expertise in construction, building and finance to our efforts to manage the recent overbids of the Referendum. In addition, we have heard questions regarding taxes that we would like to offer a response to; there has been no increase to your property tax bill as a result of the Referendum Vote. Residents will not see an increase in their tax bills related to the Referendum until the Board awards bids and subsequently bonds the project. We are not at that point. Others shared a concern that as a result of the overbid, residents may be asked to "make up the difference" on the overbid. This is not the case, the Board can not increase the tax burden residents would have for any construction project without a public vote. No additional public vote is planned and to subsidize the existing Referendum project.

Business Administrator, Dan Borgo and I would like to invite anyone who is interested to learn more about this process, in advance of our public meeting on Tuesday, June 26th, to the Mountain Lakes Public Library at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, June 12th. Given the hectic nature of the end of year events, there are no evenings available to us to hold this meeting. It is our hope that if you are unable to attend that you connect with a friend or neighbor who may be able to attend and share the information with you.

Thank you for your continued support of our schools, looking forward to seeing you soon.
