Peer Leadership

Peer Leadership

At MLHS, the Peer Leadership program consists of 11th and 12th graders who are dedicated to demonstrating leadership skills and a commitment to their school community. Students can apply to be a Peer Leader at the end of Sophomore year. Peer Leaders meet with their Freshman groups periodically and host 4 events throughout the school year intended to assist Freshmen in their transition to high school while teaching lessons on decision-making, goal-setting, and coping skills for living a healthy lifestyle. In addition, Peer Leaders are provided with opportunities to support fellow students in all grade levels and to help in raising awareness for school-wide initiatives and events.
